a visit to nana's.

today we went to visit nana. we all had so much fun! eagan helped make some pancakes, then we went to the new crosby park. preston slept but eagan had a blast. he was amazed by the serpent so we had to assume the roll of a tourist and take a picture. :) (that's nana and the boys in the picture) we also went to a grad party where there were ridicules numbers of mosquitoes. the food was really good though! then due to the weather we left early and went home. (i'd hate to have hail damage on my brand new car!) we played outside for quite a while wondering when the storm was going to hit and then the tornado syrian went off and we went down in the basement. i felt slightly foolish the entire time as i looked outside at the sunshine poring in the window. then ryan called and asked if we got the hail. i said no that there was only sun and he said they had pea size hail. he works 4 miles from our house. that made me feel a lot better about being downstairs. even darin got called into work because of the possible need for paramedics if the tornado came. we went back downstairs after the warning had expired and cleaned up all the toys. we ended the night with a bath, apples and i'm about to go read bedtime stories. so goodnight everyone and i hope no one had any storm damage! :)

camera troubles.

i once again am having troubles with my camera. if i leave the batteries in it it drains them in a matter of hours. so i take them out after each use and lately i can can only take one picture about every half hour. it is driving me crazy. so today i got one picture of eagan giving preston a kiss. we went grocery shopping and played a the park a bunch today. eagan also had a good time riding his bike. ryan has to work all weekend and then all week. last week he put in over 50 hours and this coming week he is scheduled for over 60. i think it is easy to say that i am sick of menard's...and i'm not even the one going there everyday, all day. so this will be a hard week for me and the boys. hopefully they will hire some more help so ryan can come home and work on his numerous projects that he has started. :) last night he riped up the flooring in pop's soon to be bedroom. we're one step closer to having our room back. (i think the next biggest step would be to get eagan to stay in his own room all night.) well i need to go make some supper so have a great evening everyone!

ryan and i got a new car! we are so excited. it is a 2008 pontiac vibe. my car isn't doing so well and ryan's truck really chugs the gas. this car fits our family perfectly. in other news preston (who just turned 8 months yesterday) is starting to crawl in many ways. he has completely mastered the army crawl and uses this to get from point a to point b in a hurry. he crawls on his hands and knees on the tile or if he only has to go a very short distance and yesterday he kept trying to crawl on his hands and feet. (just like cousin jaden!) so funny! we got a little bit on video but we weren't quick enough to get a picture. well i think i'll go see how ryan's doing...he's putting up chicken wire around our apple trees so the deer will stop eating them. :) bye!

not much to blog.

well like my title says i don't have much to blog about. the most exciting thing that happened yesterday is that i washed my car. inside and out. we spent most of the day outside. today i've been busy going through some of terre's pictures and mine getting an order ready to develop. i have two hundred that i am getting printed. this is one mom who will have dozens of photo albums for her children. anyway i found some old pics that i thought i'd put up...like the photo of eagan when he first started to walk. that will be preston soon. i can't even believe it. the last two are from the school farm. i took the boys there for eagan's last day of school. it was really neat. eagan loved the six day old piggies and pops loved the bunnies. well i think i'll get going. pop looks sleepy and eagan is already down for his nap so maybe i can sleep too.

park art.

this morning we started the day out at the park. it was still kind of brisk but we had a good time. as we were heading out i noticed in the stroller tracks that we had left last night that someone made some really cool art. they turned our tracks into a rainbow and added a leprechaun and his pot of gold. i am so amazed at peoples creativity. anyway i ran back to the car to get my camera. i had to take a picture. than as we were walking back to the car i saw the neat 'rain' art that mother nature made. crazy grass face and neat fingers. i'm glad i had the opportunity to see it all before it gets ruined.

next we made our way over to the bowling alley for eagan to bowl with some of his friends from school. he did really good, although by the fifth frame he was sick of it. preston played with his friend ella and had a really good time. (ella is three weeks older than him and was in school with him too, so they've known each other pretty much all their lives.) in the picture are eagan's two best friends hayden and sam. they have been in school together since they were six months old.

eagan has a new ritual that is totally worth mentioning. he goes up to each of my 28 tulips around my house and smells everyone. he bends them terribly and i cringe every time. "no! easy! not my tulips!" i think and sometimes say if he seems to be to rough. but it's worth every bend when he ends he says "all done" it's just super cute.

we went out to the race track to see grandpa tonight. i thought eagan would do okay, but i pretty much wasted five bucks. we got in there said hi to darin and shaun, met lacey (which i'm really excited about) and then grandpa started up the car. eagan freaked and we left. we couldn't have been there more than five minutes. no i know we weren't there even that. the whole way home eagan was mad because he thought when i asked if he wanted to go see grandpa at the race track that i meant 'do you want to go see grandpa and nana and the puppy's at nanas house?' looks like i'll be taking him over there sooner than later!

well now that preston has reeked major havoc on my room and is slowly destroying the beautiful plant that darcie gave us i better tend to him. at least it's the same leaf he keeps going after! good night :)

naps.

today i was very lucky. the boys took a nap at the same time. at first i was in shock and just sat there looking at preston sleeping, than i decided to relax on the couch and look out my window. finally i thought i better get some thing productive done and i started working on the boys photo albums. i have/had stacks of pictures out of order and i've been trying to get them all up to date. i have eagan's all back in order but i still have to place them in the album and preston's...well his is still a mess. if i can get them both in bed at a decent time tonight maybe i can finish preston's too. after the boys woke up we went to the park to enjoy the sun. it ended up being pretty windy so we didn't stay all that long. we swung, went down the slides, preston filled his pants with sand and then we went to the dock to look for fish. (none today.) we are going to end the night with some bike riding (eagan), baths (both boys) and then i promised popsicles. so have a great night, i know we will. :)

nothing much.

well i don't really have much to post today. i spent most of the day cleaning my house, which still seems really messy. we bought a new brush for the cats so i tried to brush them. that ended with me sneezing uncontrollably for like an hour. i think ryan will have to give it a try. i am amazed at how much fur i got off kit and even more amazed at how much he still has left. butters wouldn't even let me near her. i think preston was scaring her off. we also bought a new humming bird feeder since the hummers keep thinking that my chimes will somehow give them that sweet nectar. hopefully ryan will be able to put it up tomorrow. i guess my biggest thing for the day is that i watched last nights desperate housewives. is anyone else confused? i am SO CONFUSED! i know they always do that for the finally but still this was just odd. well eagan needs some water so i'll say good night.

planting

i can not believe how quickly preston is learning things. just in the last two days he has started clapping, waving and everytime i turn around he has pulled himself up on something new. looks like i get to start saying "no pop" alot more now. eagan was so excited that preston could pull himself up and join in on the cooking. they made me a wonderful breakfast. "hot pizza juice" eagan is a very good cook. lol. i started and ended my day with planting. i've finished planting all the flowers and shrubs in the front yard! i feel very good about it. my first planning and planting. now lets hope they all live! i don't think we will get to the back yard this year. ryan has so many projects to finish before we add another one to the list. :) well it sounds like preston is giving ryan a hard time. i should probably go help. good night.

garage sale find.

today we had lots of fun with daddy! we watched some sing along videos (eagan's favorite!) and we went to some garage sales. our big purchase? a mini pinball machine...for $1.00. well at least we didn't come back empty handed! the boys were playing with a hat that nana gave them. eagan says it's pops hat, but for some reason he won't let pop have it with out a fight. well that's all for today. see you tomorrow!

olympics

tonight we went to eagan and preston's school for the summer olympics. mama and eagan, and nana and preston took part in the cakewalk, we (daddy included) enjoyed pizza and root beer floats, and eagan hesitated at everyone of the little activities but in the end everyone had a great time. than we stopped by shaun's house to see the progress...and grandpa! it was great to spend time with ryan since he had the evening off, and i look forward to seeing more of him tomorrow. good night.

My goal.

hi! i am so excited to be posting a blog for everyone to read. my goal is to update everyone with pictures and stories at least weekly...if not daily...so check back often! (bookmark me!) the boys and i get out and do some pretty fun things and with so many of you living so far away i want you to see some of the great things we are doing. so today i will post some pictures and hopefully i'll be back tomorrow! :)
