about...me?!

so today terre watched the boys and ryan took me to minneapolis to get my hair 'did'...funny. anyway, so here is the before and the after of my dreads! they are all wavy because i got a dread perm and the waves will go away in a few days and i will be left with 58 beautiful dreads! anyway i am so excited about 'em. so yeah!

open gym.

today the boys had a lot of fun at open gym. it was the last one of the summer and ryan was able to go with us. preston had a blast painting. :)

uncle shauns.

we've been having a lot of fun lately! yesterday we went to crosby with nana and saw the boat races. we didn't get there at a very good time so we only saw a hand full of boats but that was plenty for eagan! when ryan got home from work eagan told him all about how the white ones went SO fast and had big splashes. i asked him today what he wanted to do and he said "boat races!" guess he'll have to wait till next year! then last night we went over to uncle shaun's and eagan and pops played with grant. they had a blast in the pool...we'll at least preston did. he loved it. eagan and grant had a good time riding grants "motorcycle." i think tomorrow we will go to open gym...it's the last one of the summer. that should be fun! have a great night.

we found some rockin' shades for preston at target yesterday...98 cents. i couldn't let that go! he doesn't really like wearing them but he thinks they are funny. ryan has this weekend off and we are all excited to spend some time with him. we are going to tie dye. i can't wait to see how it turns out. i'll have to post a family picture of us all in our tie dye. yey!

today eagan got a toy car rug. i looked at target, walmart and menards with no luck then we went to home depot...and there it was! so eagan has been having a blast playing with that today. i thought i'd put up a clip of preston playing catch...man he loves that!

boo and walking?!

so i forgot to post yesterday that preston said his first word! (other than mama and dadda) he said Boo! he was playing peek-a-boo with a toy that nana gave eagan. it was the cutest. he said boo then started laughing. he did it a few times! he is also taking five or so steps between ryan and me. it won't be long!!!

we have been having a lot of fun outside! going for lots of walks and doing some chalk art. :)

cleaning!

today had been going great! the boys took a nap at the same time and eagan has been in a great mood. all this means that i've been able to get LOTS of house work done! i have two clean bathrooms, a kitchen that has NO dirty dishes in the sink and i was even able to hang up my birthday present from chad and darcie! now i think we'll head out for a walk or a bike ride... :)

eagan's new shades.

today eagan got some sunglasses! he is so excited about them. doesn't he look good?! ryan goes down to part time on monday the 21st. he is really excited about that. it will give him a month to get things done around here before he starts school. he will be going to college in staples, so it's about a half hour drive away. we both wish they offered his classes at the brainerd campus, but he should be able to get his generals done here, that will help. he's going for communications art and design. i think this will be something that he will both love and excel at. let's hope anyway!!!

a few more pictures from the 4th!

our weekend.

i have some really cute pictures for you guys! the first is our daily or more so nightly ritual. the boys get a popsicle before they go to bed. preston eats his twice as fast as eagan then spends the rest of the time trying to take eagans. eagan just says "no pop. eagan's." over and over. it's really cute. the next are a few from the beach. preston loves digging in the sand and eagan's favorite is to watch the fish. there are tons of babies now so he gets really excited. then the last two are how preston helps me in the kitchen. i about died laughing when i saw him climb all the way in the cupboards and i grabbed my camera then he came out holding a lid. it's funny how serious he is too. what a perfect moment.

nine month check up.

we've been keeping very busy lately! on monday i took the boys to there school for some open gym time. they get to play with other kids and with new toys...they also have some art projects for them to do if they wish. the first hour wasn't very busy so preston had a blast crawling all over the gym and playing with the cones set up for the bikes, eagan of course loved to ride the bikes. (even though he has one at home) the second hour we were there got pretty busy so we played out side and did some art. it was alot of fun and a nice change of pace. eagan was excited for all the "friends." we've been playing outside a lot and yesterday i took preston in for his nine month check up while ryan took eagan out to eat and then to the park for some quality time. preston is now 22 lbs which is in the 75th percentile and 30 inches which is in the 95th percentile. i've got me some tall boys! the girls will love that. :) believe it or not at eagan's nine month visit he weighed 22 lbs 6oz and was 30 inches tall. isn't that crazy?! well i've been having some fun on myheritage.com today and i think since the boys are both sleeping i'll go have some more. take care and i'll write again soon!
