big boy update!

preston had his one year check up...he is 31 1/2 inches tall (90th percentile) and 23lbs 6oz (60th percentile). he got two shots which he took very well. he goes back in in three months for another well child check up, but we will all be going in sometime next month for the flu shot :(

today we finally had cake and opened gifts. uncle darin came over to join us. that was great! preston liked uncle darin's gift the best! an elmo book that plays music. two of preston's favorite things...elmo and music. :)

to pooped to celebrate...

preston had a very big day today. to celebrate his turning one grandpa, preston, eagan and i went to burger king for breakfast. then the boys and i went about our normal daily stuff waiting for ryan to get home from school. once he did we went out for pizza and then to the water park. we all had a blast! (i forgot my camera...go figure!) then on the way home preston fell asleep. sooooo....tomorrow when ryan gets home from school we will start part two of preston's birthday celebrations. the best part in my opinion, gifts and cake. :) so i'll try to post some cake pictures tomorrow night.

stuff 'n stuff.

there has been alot going on, i just haven't had the time to write. saturday night eagan spent the night at nana's. he had a blast! i slept with the phone...just in case. :) it was his first time away over night. i'm glad he had such a good time. i took the boys to the mall to look for some boots. (for me) i didn't have any luck but the boys had a great time driving the trucks. i did find some super cute boots at kohls! we went pumpkin hunting and found a few that we liked at menards. the boys each have their pumpkins. preston's has a few bite marks in it. lol! we have been taking a walk almost every night for the longest time and i swear that every night it gets more and more beautiful with the changing colors. the red tree is my favorite. i walk extra far just to see it. something about it makes it totally worth the few extra steps. well have a good night...i'm up waiting for ryan to get home. hopefully it wont be much longer...i'm getting sleepy! oh yeah and one last thing...preston has been sleeping in his crib for almost a week now! he is doing great with it. only three more days till he's one. i just can't believe it.

preston's a pro at using a spoon!

so i guess all i had to do to fix the computer was to restart it. :) yey! yesterday preston had his first experience with using a spoon. he started it out great and then...well you can see the end result! just another day of learning. :) we made a fort and spent alot of time playing in there. eagan liked to read books and preston found great humor in sticking his hand under the blanket and waving. he's so funny. anyway, i have to clean the house today. i'll post more soon! :)

i have a few great pictures to upload for you all but i am having some problems with my computer reading my memory card. i'm hoping that ryan will have a spare minute tonight or tomorrow to look at it, so check back in a day or two...hopefully it will all be fixed.

a cute and funny story for you though...

so yesterday i was on the phone with my mom and the boys were laughing really hard and i thought i better see what they were up to. (they tend to be partners in crime) preston was going into the corner where we keep a trash can with dirty diapers and pressing the button to make the top open then eagan would yell "stinky diapers!" and shut the top and they would run down the hall way laughing. then preston would go back and open it again and it would start back up. they did this over and over for like five minutes. it was hilarious!

so i haven't really been typing alot because honestly i haven't had the time. the boys are keeping me crazy busy. ryan is in school all day and then working all evening. today one of his classes got out early so he came home and had about three hours before he had to go to work. i took a nap with preston. i don't think i could have made a better choice of what to do with the time. anyway. here is a cute video of the boys. :)

as i am writing this eagan is holding preston's hand and they are walking around the house. it is so cute! anyway, this morning eagan and i made some fall decorations. can you tell which pumpkins eagan made? it's a tough one! lol. (we each made two.) anyway we were going to go bike outside, but i just keeps on raining. maybe we'll have to go do some more art. have a great day!

today we went down to st. cloud and did a bunch of running around. we got the candle for preston's birthday, ate at old chicago and eagan got a bike! he had a little bit of trouble with the peddles being brakes if you push them backwards but other than that he did great! tomorrow i'm off to the little falls craft show with my mom and ryan is at home with the boys! hahahah!!!! lol. any way...night!

this morning since we were up nice and early (early enough to watch the bus go by) we went for a nice long walk. eagan said he was cold, but i thought it felt wonderful!
