non-stop nursing!

So it seems as though Gwendolyn is going through yet another growth spurt. If I'm not nursing her I'm changing her pants...which leaves me very little time for anything else. One of my friends posted this poem on facebook for me...which I have been in love with since I first read it.

Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow...
For babies grow up,
we've learned to our sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep;
I'm rockin' my baby and babies don't keep.

this is how we found preston one night after we got done watching our movie. looks like someone snuck out of his room to watch it too. musta been a boring movie! :)

hospital pictures.

Today is a double post day! Here are some pictures of Gwendolyn that the hospital took. :)

our first week.

Believe it or not Gwendolyn is already a week (+) old. It was one week ago today that we brought her home from the hospital. I am finding it almost impossible to do anything except look at her. She is so beautiful! The first load of laundry that I did when we got back made me smile. I hate doing laundry, but all that pink! We have truly been blessed. A healthy, beautiful baby girl. The boys are doing really well with her too. Eagan likes it when she makes funny faces and snorts like a pig and Preston loves to sneak her kisses while she sleeps.

welcome to the world little one!

Well I loaded the pictures backwards, but at least they loaded!!

We are very proud to announce the arrival of Gwendolyn Elizabeth Niesen to our family!!
She was born January 6th, 2011 at 6:41p.m. She was 8 lbs and 21.5 inches. Just perfect. She has adjusted to our busy household wonderfully...honestly she sleeps through all the noise of the boys like magic. Both brothers are so excited to have her with us. They help with diaper changes and getting her what ever she needs. She is very lucky to have them! They love to pet her head and they think it is so funny that she sounds like a little piggie.
Ready to head home from the hospital. It was 2 degrees out...burrrrrr!

Christmas Fun.

We had a great Christmas. The boys enjoyed Daddy having six days off in a row! He even took them sledding. I went with...but just watched. It was SO cute! It was wonderful getting together with all my brothers. It doesn't happen often enough.

Baby Grayson :)

The first hat that I made! Eagan's will be next. :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Only 17 days until baby is due! (Let's hope I don't go over!!!) Please pray for a easy delivery and a healthy baby!!

snowman and more.

Hey everyone! Hope you all are keeping safe and warm! We don't have a lot of snow up here but the boys sure did enjoy making a snowman. Pop even went to school and told his class all about it. :) It's been so cold out that it's been really hard to get the boys to go outside to play, specially since I have NO interest in going out, but randomly I can get them out for five minutes or so. lol.

Ryan has one more day of classes and then Tuesday through Friday are finals!! So Saturday morning Ryan will wake up a college graduate!! I'm not sure he is anywhere near as excited as I am. I'm also extremely proud of him. (and myself!! It's been a long 2.5 years!)

I had a doctors apt. on Thursday and baby's heart sounds great. My doctor asked if I've been having any contractions or cramps and I said yeah, so she checked me and baby is "low, low, low!" and I'm dilated 1 cm. She was super surprised, I really wasn't. Ryan and I had just been talking about how low baby looked. So I am 35 weeks along, 5 to go...maybe...

Pop picked out this book from the library and the boys were really excited to decorate their own hats like Lena did in the book. Here's them hard at work, and their end results!

Take care!!
